Sports injuries range from a twisted ankle to a torn ACL. Whatever the injury, the goal is the same: get back to your sport safely, as strong as or stronger than before, and with less chance of getting hurt again.
Our sports physiotherapy service combines evidence-based rehabilitation with return-to-sport testing, and through Triple Therapy, sports nutrition and sports psychology.
Common signs and symptoms of sports injuries
- Pain, swelling or bruising after a tackle, twist or fall
- A pop or giving-way feeling in the knee or ankle
- Sudden pain in the back of the thigh, groin or calf
- Gradually increasing pain with training
- Reduced performance or fear of re-injury
How we help
We assess the injury, the movement patterns that may have contributed, and your sport's demands. Rehabilitation progresses in clear stages, from pain control and early movement to strength, power, agility and sport-specific training.
Before you return to full play, we test strength and movement against clear targets so you return when you are truly ready.
Treatments we use
- Progressive strength and power training
- Balance, agility and plyometric training
- Manual and soft tissue therapy
- Shockwave for chronic tendon injuries
- Return-to-sport testing
- Sports nutrition and sports psychology
Recovery and what to expect
A mild muscle strain may take two to four weeks; a ligament reconstruction may take nine to twelve months. We give you a realistic timeline after your assessment.
Sports Injuries: frequently asked questions
How soon can I play after a hamstring strain?
Mild strains often allow a return in two to four weeks; more severe strains take longer. Returning too early is the biggest cause of re-injury.
Do you treat school and amateur athletes?
Yes. We treat athletes at every level, from school sport to national and international competition.
Can you work with my club or coach?
Yes. With your consent we can share progress and return-to-play plans with your club.
