True health has never been just about the body. Our Psychology and Counselling Department works on the conviction that mental, emotional, social and psychological wellbeing are fundamental to overall health and quality of life.
Drawing on international best practice, ethical standards and trauma-informed, person-centred principles, we serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, groups, organisations and communities. Every intervention is tailored to the individual, with dignity, confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at every step.
Adult counselling
Support for stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties and the psychological weight of chronic illness and disability. Our psychologists use psychological assessment, cognitive and behavioural approaches, emotional regulation, resilience building, goal setting and practical coping skills, including pain-related psychological support.
Child and adolescent counselling
Safe, developmentally appropriate support for young people: emotional and behavioural assessments, school adjustment, anxiety and stress management, social skills, trauma counselling and play-based therapy for younger children. We also work with parents on relationships, bullying, self-esteem and development.
Marriage, couple and family counselling
Premarital counselling and marriage enrichment, conflict resolution, rebuilding trust, support through separation, improving communication and overcoming parenting challenges. Family systems approaches recognise that change in one relationship creates change throughout the family.
Group counselling and support groups
Structured groups for grief recovery, chronic illness, trauma recovery, parenting, stress management, adolescent wellbeing and workplace wellness. Being with people who understand reduces isolation and builds confidence and coping skills.
Workplace counselling and Employee Assistance Programmes
Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), staff counselling, burnout prevention, conflict management, leadership coaching, mental health awareness training and critical incident debriefing for organisations.
Neurodiversity services
Strengths-based support for people with autism, ADHD, learning differences, sensory processing and executive function difficulties, working with families, schools and workplaces so neurodiverse people can thrive.
Trauma-informed care, safeguarding and clinical hypnotherapy
Trauma-informed principles of safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment guide every service. Safeguarding protects children, vulnerable adults and families through risk assessment, child protection procedures and safe referral pathways. For suitable cases, trained professionals offer clinical hypnotherapy for stress, anxiety, habit change and pain management, always as part of wider psychological treatment.
